Setting and Achieving Goals

After one week of monitoring my time, I discovered that I don't use it as well as I should.
I want to spend more time on my studies.

I want to spend less time on unimportant things like the television.

I was surprised I spent so much time on how stressed I was.

I was surprised that I spent so little time on English class, I guess that would be because it was so easy for me.

What changes will you make to your self-management system?
I will make more time for the important things, like studying and doing my homework and projects.

My First Semester In College

1. I came to college because I want to be a vet and I decided to study vet tech. for now.

2. The best experience I’ve had in college so far is watching all the vet techs. walking around in there uniforms.

3. The most challenging experience I’ve had in college has been in math.

4. This semester, my greatest accomplishment has been getting nothing less than an A on all my English essays.

5. If I could do one thing differently, I would study more for math.

6. Next semester, I would like to get a higher grade in math.

My best piece of advice for college freshmen is not let stress get the better of you. If you are feeling overwhelmed look for some help.

In a nutshell, my first semester in college has been an amazing experience.

I Want To Be a Vet

Major: Vet Tech.

This major focuses on how to assist a vet with an animal. I will be focusing on pets for now, for example cats and dogs. I enjoy this major very much. I love animals and I believe I'm a natural at it. I believe any class involving math would be a little hard for me but I will do my very best, because I won't lose this chance at becoming what I want to be. I love literature so I believe any class involving reading and writing will be very easy for me. I must have at least a GPA of 2 in order to graduate from this major. I do believe I can meet the requirements because I am a good student and I truly love my major. This major can be completed in 2 years but since I plan to become a vet not just a vet tech. so I would need 2 more years, and if I want to further my career it would be about a total of 8 years. I don't mind the years because I can always work as a vet tech. until I become a vet. You must graduate from this major in order to work with animals. You learn most of the skills required for this major so I would guess the only skill that you must have that can't be taught would be the love for animals. That's just something you must have, because without it then you will be having a hard time dealing with them. My major had a wide range of course in which I can choose from. The only course apart from my major that I would like take would be something involving music, drama or dance. Students whom have graduated from this major can work assisting vets with animals, also at a pet groomers and in an animal shelter. I would do all these jobs if I could. This is what I've wanted to be since the 8th grade in junior high school and till this day I still am in love with this career and intent on staying on this path for the rest of my life.
